Earlier Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first thus Sri Lanka first batted and made a low score of 156/6 (20) due to great bowled by Adam Zampa 2/12 (4), Mitchell Starc 2/27 (4), and Pat Cummins 2/34 (4). Kusal Perera 35 (25), Charith Asalanka 35 (27), and Bhanuka Rajapaksa 33* (26) were good batted from the Sri Lanka side. Sri Lanka set a target of 155 in 20 overs to win the match . During chasing, Australia loses 3 wickets and won the match by 7 wickets with Sri Lanka due to good batted by David Warner 65 (42), Aaron Finch 37 (23), and Steve Smith 28* (26). Wanindu Hasaranga 2/22 (4), and Dasun Shanaka 1/6 (1) were good bowled from the Sri Lanka side. After winning this match, Australia placed at the 2nd position in group 1 with 4 points.
