Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life.
God's words help us remain faithful when our feelings might lead us astray. His words are royal decrees, like crowns on our heads that remind us who we are and whose we are.
When we remember God's promises, life and truth surge back into our hearts, restoring order in the most chaotic of seasons.
As you read the words of God, may you remember His specific promises to you, and His commitment to fulfill them. May you lay hold of your faith in His faithfulness in times of trial and affliction. May your hope rise as you remember that He remembers you. Adapted from NewSpring Psalms Devotional
Is there a verse or promise you cling to when life gets hard? Is there a verse or promise you cling to when life gets hard?
Power Verses: Psalm 119:49-56
Prayer: Father in heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name. Your promises are true and You have kept them all for me. You have delivered me, helped me, supported me and healed me. You have held my hand during the pain and dried my tears during the hurt. You have lifted my Spirit and comforted my heart during the loss. I cannot trust anyone but You. You are the only One who keeps showing up. I thank you for continuing to be faithful and for loving me. I pray and give thanks in the name of the One who promised he would never leave me nor forsake me, Jesus the Christ. Amen.
