Acts 18:9-11 – One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, "Don't be afraid! Speak out! Don't be silent! For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to me." So Paul stayed there for the next year and a half, teaching the word of God.
Many times as a believer, God has spoken to me with direction about my future. It's usually when I am seeking guidance, but not always.
It's when I am not looking for direction that God's words mean something truly special. We all have those times when we need and are looking for direction. But the most special moments are when God speaks and we aren't even asking. That's when you know "I am His".
I am a servant of the most High God. I am in the best place I could possibly be in life. When I read this passage today, it made me realize that when God speaks in this way, it is truly awesome. But what is just as important is: What Do You Do About It?
Paul spent the next year and a half following God's direction. Teaching and preaching the Good News. Today, the question for you is: Are you listening? And when He speaks, what will you do? Will you count it off as your imagination or follow to the end of your course? As for me, I am all in.
